Meet Our Team
Captain Keith Gray
Captain Keith is truly one in a million! From an early age he has had an obsession with seeking out and collecting the best Mother Nature has to offer. After spending the majority of his life hunting, fishing, trapping, and guiding the woods and waters of northern and central Maine he and his wife Barbara made the move to the last frontier of Kodiak, Alaska in 2010. Keith has hunted, fished, and explored the island of Kodiak ever since. His passion for salmon, especially kings, triumphs over all other saltwater species. Keith is always looking to evoke that “train wreck” strike that widens your eyes as the rod pounds down to the water and the reel screams so long you begin to wonder how much line is left. His uncanny ability to think like a fish coupled with his passion for putting meat on the deck makes him one of the best charter captains you could have the privilege to fish with. Keith has boated hundreds of salmon over the years and now enjoys sharing his experience and knowledge with others. Keith holds a U.S. Coast Guard Captain's License and does everything in his power to provide his clients with a safe and unforgettable trip of a lifetime that people come to Kodiak, Alaska to experience.
First Mate- Jacob Reed
Jacob Reed is what we refer to as our extreme net man! Jacob hails from Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, and is as passionate about putting big Alaskan fish on the deck as anyone you’ll ever meet. When Jacob isn’t fishing he’s hunting and when he’s not hunting he’s snowmobiling, and when he’s not doing either of those activities it’s because he’s working his regular job as a carpenter. Jacob is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to fooling fish. He is constantly changing gear and tactics until he’s satisfied he’s found the recipe for the day. Jacob isn’t a set-it-and-forget-it kind of guy. He is constantly working the deck and water column until he produces the bite. If he can make a double happen, he likes that all the better! Jacob is one of the nicest guys you could ever run up against. His passion for fishing really shines through in his work. He’s a great coach for our less experienced guests and when it comes time to put the net on the fish of a lifetime, you’d be hard-pressed to find someone as capable as Jacob Reed.
